Just so you are aware there some outdated terms in this book. The pace of this book really made this book a great read for me. As always, what a thoughtfully and historical provoking novel. I loved that even in the mystery of the plot, one of characters never lets you forgot about the injustices that was happening at this time. I think having an activist and a person who prefers to not being involved as the two main character was a great choice for SMG.
As I continued to read I kept thinking to myself, this sounds like something I remember reading. Only to find out this time period is of the Dirty War in Mexico. Which is reason 48484 why I love historical fiction novels. And love it more when SMG writes them.
