EDIT/I listened to the audiobook and BOY, Julia Whelan is so talented, it was a delight to listen to. And the story is, of course, still as perfect as it was when I first read it, and GAW, ALL TIME FAVORITE!

Another favorite, thanks to Emily Henry's perfect writing.

If you didn't know, I am a very sensitive person. I cry when I'm sad, of course, but also when I'm scared, when I'm stressed, when I'm happy and when it's beautiful.

So let me tell you that I did nothing but cry while reading this book.

Because it's beautiful. Everything about it is beautiful. The way Emily writes her characters, multi-faceted, deep and complex, is incredible. And I loved learning about their history via flashbacks and via what they themselves reveal about their shared past.

Everything completes and ties together perfectly. Reading this book was like listening to my favorite song. Every element placed there was there for a reason and has a meaning that will be revealed at some point. Every word and line of dialogue was chosen for a specific purpose. Nothing is superfluous, nothing is a waste of time. Everything has a meaning and an order chosen to give it until the very end.

Separating myself from Poppy and Alex is so painful that I think I will read this book again very soon.

Un nouveau coup de cœur incroyable pour l’écriture parfaite d’Emily Henry.

Si vous ne le saviez pas, je suis quelqu’un de très sensible. Je pleure c’est triste, bien sûr, mais aussi quand j’ai peur, quand je suis stressée, quand je suis heureuse et quand c’est beau. Alors autant vous dire que je n’ai fait que pleurer durant ce livre. Parce que c’est beau. Tout est beau. La façon dont Emily écrit ses personnages, multi-facettes, profonds et complexes, est incroyable. Et j’ai adoré découvrir leur histoire via les flashbacks et via ce qu’eux-mêmes révèlent de leur passé commun. Tout se complète et s’enchaîne parfaitement. Lire ce livre, c’était comme écouter ma chanson préférée. Chaque élément posé a été placé là pour une raison et à un sens qui sera révélé à un moment donné. Chaque mot et chaque ligne de dialogue a été choisi à une fin précise. Rien n’est superflu, rien n’est du temps perdu. Tout à un sens et un ordre choisi pour en donner jusqu’à la fin.

Me séparer de Poppy et Alex est tellement douloureux que je pense que je relirai ce livre encore très vite.
