Well, I read it (eventually). The best I can say about this book is that I can say I've read it. Some of the family parts were okay, but I found it hard to keep the characters straight, and I didn't care enough about any of them that it mattered. The war parts were dull, and Tolstoy's treatise about history in the epilogue was mind-numbing.
