Uncanny X-Men by Kieron Gillen, Volume 2
by Greg Land, Kieron Gillen
Uncanny X-Men has been pretty solid with Kieron Gillen as lead on it. I wonder why it's such a short run.
So in this volume we have Cyclops leading his team it to a new area. Each breaks up to do their own mission but soon we learn of a new race of aliens. Namore and Hope begin to build a relationship of teammates. Magneto learns some new information he might decide to use later. Oh and Cap and Cyclops aren't always seeing eye to eye on things.
Good: Loved the hell out of the hope and Namore stuff. Funny, cute, and pretty well done. I also enjoyed Cyclops here, taking charge like he should. The art is solid and the fights can be really epic in this one.
Bad: Some exposition dumps are pointless. We get they're aliens we don't need to be told every little detail. Also, it feels a bit rushed.
Overall, pretty solid stuff. On to the next. 3 out of 5.
