The second book in the duet is even more intense than the first one with Cole now firmly on the side of not killing Mara they have to figure a way to stop Shaw from killing again. The growth of Cole in this book is great he is showing more of his humanity and giving Mara the key to his past which helps us understand him even more. I love the dynamic between these two they are made for each other. 

 

The escalation of Shaws kills is making Mara realize the only way to stop him is by killing him. I enjoyed the plan they put in motion not just because Labyrinth was one of my favourite movies too but because justice was finally being served. I gave this book 4.5 ⭐️ and 2.75 🌶️ they really amped up the spicy scenes in the second book and I loved every minute of them the passion between these two characters is explosive. 

 

If you like a dark book with a little revenge murder and a hot couple that can’t keep their hands off each other this is the perfect book for you.
