A story told through beautiful words. I think the writing style works for people who like poetic writing, but it also works for people like me who are easily annoyed when a book loses itself in pretty words. (There were only a few times I thought "why did you have to phrase it that way?")
I thought this book would destroy me emotionally and maybe it would have if I read it at a different time in my life or read it instead of listening to the audio book. While it did not devastate me in the way I thought it would, it still made me feel a lot for these characters and Ludwig especially. I'm very impressed with him and his bravery. I liked Carolina a lot as well, she's so cool.
