"I can always smell blood now."

This was such an interesting book. I am unsure how to rate as I am tossing between a 3 and 3.5 (guess we will go up the middle at 3.25). On one had it was just okay overall but at the same time I couldn't stop listening to it. There are two mysterious playing out through the book: the murder of a beloved teacher and why are the kids craving blood? And honestly I can only remember the answer one of the two questions. I thought the concept was so wild!! Child vampires -what?!

"Distracted mother means bad mother."

I don't know what genre to consider this as it really doesn't lead to heavy into thriller or mystery (besides the murder) but I just saw it is also considered women's fiction which I don't think I would classify it as that either? Maybe even a cozy mystery as the parents were trying hard to figure out what was happening.
