Guy Montag is a fireman who lives in a society in which books are illegal. His job is not to extinguish fires, but to light them. People of Montag's world takes no interest in politics or world issues. The only point of life is pleasure. It isn't until Montag meets a young girl named Clarisse that he realizes that there might be more to life. Clarisse makes him thinking about the world beyond the wall television and seashell radios; she makes him wonder about life.

Overall, a okay book. It was slow at times and while reading, I never really wanted to finish the book, and the only reason I finished was because a) it's really popular (and a semi-classic) and b) it was for a school assignment.
