bookbeforeuleap 's review for:
The Last Mrs. Parrish
by Liv Constantine
This is one of the first Reese Witherspoon book club picks that I haven’t rated highly. The hype had me all excited and when I saw this copy sitting on the library shelf I felt like it was meant to be.
I sat and read this while I was in the hair dressers (yes I was in there for over four hours!!) I predicted the twist very early on and then for me the book seemed to drag. I think had it not been so predictable then I would have enjoyed it as the writing is good, Constantine easily manipulates the reader into disliking the main character, setting them up to wish for her to get what she deserves.
