there's not really a good way to rate non-fiction -- was it informative? yes. was it well written? yes. usually i rate purely based on my own enjoyment/experience rather than any other definable metric, but for books like this which aren't intended to be enjoyed, it's all about whether the book accomplished its goal, in which case a perfect five stars to angela davis
