3.5 stars. Another fun book with Vickie at the Jumble and the Others. Luckily I read Lake Silence and knew most of the characters already, but I don't do well with too many characters, so I feel like I missed out on some of the "oomf" that would come with a character getting hurt or killed simply because I couldn't remember who in the heck it was.
Vickie is very quirky, sometimes a little too much so, but it's alright. I don't mind it too much.
Now the over usage of the phrase "hint of fang".... Like, was it an inside joke with Anne and her publisher or something? I'm almost compelled to keep count next time there's a Jumble book (like I do a "crying/weeping" count for Anne Rice books).
