To Kill a Kingdom
by Alexandra Christo
4.5/5 stars!
There was so much that could potentially go wrong with this book for me and pretty much everything went a way I highly approved of.
Lira is a siren, known for taking the hearts of princes. Elian is a prince gone rogue known for taking the lives of sirens. Both find themselves in positions they have never had to deal with before.
Enemies turned Lovers is always a storyline that makes me cringe. Usually the romance is over done and worth of many eye rolls but that wasn’t the case with this book. Everything, while glaringly obvious, was done so subtly throughout the book that it wasn’t the overwhelming feature of the story. A lot of the focus of the story was about what was right and what was wrong; finding the good within themselves and learning about the types of people they wanted to be. That was how the relationship bloomed and I was really appreciative of the writing.
The story itself was quite good and I was really glad it was all wrapped up in one book. I was starting to think we had another series in our hands. I enjoyed the characters and the world that was created and how all of it fit together.
Very well done and I’ll be looking forward to her next book.
