This just wasn’t for me. It’s basically spicy content inside a very weak plot frame. Not that there’s anything wrong with spice. But the characters had no depth and the plot was so one note.
Also there were stupid misunderstandings and absolutely unbelievable mind change moments. One moment Taegen is DESPERATELY in love with his orc husband and the next minute he's not sure about their relationship. Again. and again and again.
Not to mention the huge middle of the night decision he makes at the end of the book. He can't be all politically savvy one moment and an absolute brain dead moron the next.
