Kinda filler. I took a break from this manga series for a year. Also haven't read any other manga so I started reading this volume backwards at first. Anyway, the last volume ended with a natural break in the storyline. Now we are back with the Eldians but in present day and we get a wider look at what's going on in the world as a whole. Albeit from the Marleyans pov. We find out what happened with Reiner. But this was basically more world building than anything. Or world expanding? I liked it though. One thing is for sure we definitely see as readers even more how fucked up everything is on all sides. One of the reasons why I love this series.
