Other than it starting out too slow and the fact that all the main/ side characters suspend their disbelief and go sure....a 17 year old who spends the entire book not knowing how to do the job, should still be the leader of a continent it was a decent start to a companion trilogy.
Once we got past the secrets and it picked up pace 200 pages in it was better.
I do love the double perspectives cause it reads faster.
