I found this book challenging to read at times, due to the format. It is written from the individual perspectives of the women telling their stories, which means that I felt more connected to some, and very alien to others. It was difficult getting through the stories of those I found less likeable as people, and I was primarily enthralled by Gretel & Raina’s stories, which came last.
I really appreciate the message of the book, exploring how harshly women are portrayed in media in relation to their male counterparts.
