Give the Dark My Love
by Beth Revis
3.5/5
Hmmm...okay I really enjoyed the mc and her focus on science and research. I now notice pieces of the cover that work with the actual story which I LOVE when they do that. Take the time to connect the cover and story. The ending had a ton of twists but full disclosure that none of them really shocked me and I'm blind to most betrayals and twists. The romance: it was put in because it's YA and apparently all YA books have to have stupid cheesy romances that offer no purpose to the story or character development. Ask yourself, "could these characters just be friends and the plot still work?" If the answer is "yes," STOP MAKING THEM SUDDENLY FALL IN LOVE WITH EACH OTHER! Was the romance necessary? Naw.
Was it character development? Naw.
Needed for the plot? Naw.
Enjoyable? Meh.
