Things Have Gotten Worse Since We Last Spoke
by Eric LaRocca
I thought this was just okay. Unsettling, mysterious (was Zoe already committing violent acts or dispatching other partners during the day?) and hurried but torturous in the midst of scenes. I had higher expectations and they were not met. A lot happened in 100 pages. But it was frenzied. I also find the criticism of a lesbian relationship valid, why do these characters have to be mentally ill, violent, dysfunctional? It's fair criticism. We don't see a lot of gay horror, so why do these characters have to be gay to carry out this story?
