It was cute. It was cozy. It was low-stakes, and at times kind of boring. It's a literary version of "Maybe the real adventure was the friends we made along the way."

Not a lot happened, and the challenges that arose were resolved pretty quickly and without time to really worry about it.

I understand why people find it comforting - the characters are adorable and charming, very few flaws and the ones they do have are akin to they just care too much.

That being said, it's not really my cup of tea. I found it cute, but there's nothing to hold on to once it's over.
