This was my first ever read from this writer and may I say that she might have finally made me a fan of fae?

Carys is a professor of fairy tales/mythology and when her boyfriend (who said he was a Prince but who knows) disappears to Scotland without goodness, she makes her way there. 

What she finds is his brother Duncan and a portal to another world where every human has a twin where hers has died. Filled with all magical sorts...unicorns, fae, DRAGONS, kelpies and more....Carys dives into her "twins" world to figure out what really happened to her. 

I was really happy reading this and the ending has some shock so I can't wait for more! It was engaging and well written and has me believing in fairy tales.
