Hulk: Abominable by Leandro Fernández, Bruce Jones, Mike Deodato Jr.
4.0

Bruce just doesn't have much luck and this is probably one of my favorite arcs for the big green dude.

So Bruce is still on the run. You'd figure by now he's getting a bit tired. He goes to a isolated diner and when eating a bunch of asshole guys come in and start messing with the waitress, in which Bruce makes quick work of them without even hulking out. Yep, someone has mastered his powers. This leads to alot of twist and turns and the return of the Abomination. Next arc focuses on a mind controlling bastard who uses all these people to get what he wants, leading to some horrific moments and deaths.

Good: The first arc, the Abomination one, is so damn good. It's a steady build up, we see more inside Bruce's head, the fight moments are epic and brutal, and it all comes full circle. The 2nd story has it's moments, particularly the last few moments work very well. I like the art throughout still, moody and dark, but it's a more horror vibe so it works.

Bad: The main enemy of the 2nd arc is a little silly. Also the guy who is unkillable dying is the dumbest fashion was kind of lame.

Overall, this might be my favorite hulk book of Jones run so far. I really dig the Abomination here and the fights were epic. I'll keep going, not sure why more people haven't checked out this run or given it such low ratings on here. A 4 out of 5.
