Americanah
by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
Beautifully told story of Ifemelu’s journey from Nigeria to America and then back through the 90s-2000s. I loved the voice so much—witty, knowing, and compassionate. It was so easy to submerge myself in this story and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Minor complaints: I think it’s a little longer than it needs to be, and I noticed some inconsistency in terms of switching timelines/characters, as well as with the blog posts (which weren’t always relevant to the preceding chapter).
