Invisible Differences by Julie Dachez
3.0

I received this book for review off Netgalley and Oni Press.

This book is told in the third person for some reason, by a narrator who revealed later. It's very alienating to me as an Autistic person. Not sure of the choice. This book is told is for people who know nothing about Autism, which makes sense with it originally meant for a French audience. This has relatable things in this book for me but I just felt this barrier and I think has to be the choice of narrator.

The English translations include fiction recs for books about Autism and includes the cringe book "The Curious Incident in the Nighttime". A terrible book, with terrible rep that has lead to many a copycat. It also includes two own-voices novels, which make the choice more baffling. It's like they recommended watching Rain Man or the Big Bang Theory.

Ful Review.
