Shadows by Ilsa J. Bick
4.0

Shadows for me, was not as good as Ashes.

Unfortunately, I began reading Shadows without re-reading Ashes as a friend had borrowed it. So I found myself saying, who is this? what happened here? I have no idea what it going on...

I did, eventually, begin to understand what was happening but by that time, things had gone from fast paced in Ashes to an almost death like trudge in Shadows..the pace of the book just wasn't what I expected and I found myself getting bored in parts with a book I had never expected to find dull.

The end though, was like Ashes and has me gripped for suspense for Monsters. I can't wait to find out what happens and maybe when I re-read Ashes and Shadows, Shadows won't be as slow for me with a refreshed memory.
Reread September 2013 and it was much better reading it having just finished reading Ashes!
There is also a part of me that believes Wolf might have saved Alex from the mines. My friend thinks she was smelling Tom that time but I don't think so. She smelled Wolf...there is some kind of disgusting yet not so disgusting attraction begin them...no?
