Love, betrayal, fight for power

There were gaps in this story, but it is the second of the series so that is somewhat expected. The narrator does a great job of pacing and moving the story along.

It felt like the end was rushed with many loose ends not even explained as characters who were there all of a sudden where whisked away and almost forgotten about.

Most of the characters motives have been revealed, but I am still second guessing Caldon’s motives. Are they true or is there something hidden.
