I enjoyed this SO MUCH! This book made me laugh out loud countless times and the male lead is romance-novel-level swoonworthy 👌🏼

The only reason I’m not giving this 5 stars is because even though there was so much potential for good spicy scenes, I’m sad to report we didn’t really get any 😢 The build-up was great but I wanted more pay-off. I’m definitely not someone who needs explicitly written smut scenes to enjoy a romance novel, but I do enjoy some good spice (I am however  quite particular about what I do and don’t like spice-wise). I feel like Julia Whelan would’ve been great at writing the kind of spice I enjoy but she sadly chose not to.

Still, apart from that one complaint, this was such a good book. Great characters and just the right amount of heartbreak. Pro-tip to listen to the audiobook because 1) this book is about audiobook narrators so really how could you not? And 2) male lead has an Irish accent 👌🏼
