Children of Blood and Bone
by Tomi Adeyemi
I don't know how much I can say that would truly do this fantastic book justice. Adeyemi pulls many parallels in from present day in to her world that showcases prejudice and oppression, often violent. The message easily weaves into a wonderful fantasy story, that threw plenty of emotions at me and at one point I was yelling "oh shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit" towards the end of the book. What a debut novel!
