Gives a great overview of how much white feminism operates from a position of power, and how their feminism is not inclusive for all BIPOC people. It opened my eyes to some issues I have not thought about (my privileges shielded me). Exactly the book I needed to bridge racism and feminism together.
Feminism has to be thought intersectional, it does not work otherwise!

The author said it, and I say it as well: If you are white, this book does not say you are bad. Not all white people are white feminists or have to stay it. Recognizing how the current systems support racism and discrimination against non white-upper/middle-class women is the first step (this also excludes LGBTQ+, people with disability, and so many more). We can all contribute to this world being a fairer space. Sometimes this starts with shutting up, listen, and follow non-white people.
I am not perfect either, we all got to learn! It does not stop with reading this book.

Many of the low-star reviews on this book do not make sense. It is white fragility these people are speaking from. Check your privileges!
