This book was a slow starter but grew into something wonderful that I enjoyed very much! It is all about found family, queer joy, queer life, and trusting the people who love you. Oh, and a love story! There's more to it than that but it just made my heart feel warm by the end. One thing I really liked was that it felt true to life as far as the timeline and pacing: instead of all happening over a few weeks or months, it would show us what happened this day and then the next chapter would be a couple weeks later. Also, even though I prefer dual POV and was missing that in the beginning, as we got to know Nina more it made sense that it was all from her PPV.
