I always highly enjoy Shalvis's books for the relationships, not only between the 2 MCs but often relationships of families in the books.

Levi and Jane, strangers, are trapped in a snowstorm in a ski gondola. When the one in front of them falls, Levi calls his mom. Thinking he could die, he tells her he's happy and that he's with his girlfriend, Jane.

Jane has never had a great family unit, being shuffled from home to home between relatives. So she reluctantly agrees to be Levi's girlfriend for a family party.

I really like Levi's family. I like what they do to get to know Jane. I like how sweet and patient Levi is. Their chemistry is amazing. I love that we also get a side romance story between Jane's friend Charlotte and Mateo.
