I saw the film and I became really fascinated with this world. It took me a while to get into the book - I found it ploddy at first. But it picked up significantly about halfway through and then went at breakneck speed towards the climax.

I love the world building, the unanswered questions, the fragility and complexity of all the characters, even the ones you think are just cookie cutter stereotypes.
