Wow, to think I finally finished the 3rd book in this series. It feels so unreal and I'm gonna be thinking about this one for weeks to come. Just the fact that we went from objectively looking at cases, side-by-side with Pip to watching her make her own life and death decisions, herself walkie the path Andie Bell and Jamie Reynolds took, with a completely new unknown and so much more danger and darkness than the first 2 books. The fact that it all came full circle so well and so neatly was absolutely insane to read. The fact that we as readers watched the all those years of investigating, blood, violence and curiosity catch up to Pip. Converting itself to PTSD, paranoia, insomnia and so much more. An onlooker, simply observing a spiralling character stepping into those grey areas she so often mentions. A monster? Is what I keep wondering but I can't quite think of an answer. How far is too far? And when is it too late to turn back?
