This novel stands out like a thousand-floor tower: in a sea of dystopians, McGee's young adult thriller is set 100 years in the future -- but everything's pretty cool. Cell phones have been replaced by contacts, there's a train that takes 3 hours from NYC to Paris, you can drink alcohol out of floating bubbles, and sensors scan you for clothing so you never have to try anything on. But even in the future teens still have problems -- and this book opens with a dead girl and lets you read the whole novel caring for these characters all while wondering helplessly which one of them is going to die by the end. It's a thrill ride, and a fun futuristic tale.
