I was expecting another couple for book 2 but I did enjoy this one. When I met Tessa in book 1 I wanted to know her story and I got it in spades here. I loved the relationship between Liam and Tessa and thinking about her past makes me 😢.

 

Liam is a rockstar that wants to escape to get back to his roots and writing again and he found his muse in Tessa. Tessa is escaping from her previous life and has not spoken to anyone about it as she is worried they will be hurt in crossfire. She did not trust men until Liam and she finally tells her truth.

 

Again another rollercoaster between Liam’s crazy fan and Tessa’s past catching up to her this book was easily a 4.5 ⭐️ and 1.5 🌶️ again the focus was on the plot for this. I did love how patient Liam was with her because of her past.

 

Again I highly recommend the Sutter Lake series. It is a great small town romance series with some tension and heavy plot aspects.
