The Princess Diarist
by Carrie Fisher
The best parts of this book aren't the stories where she meets Harrison and the affair that happened afterwards; no the best parts are the diaries she kept during her time shooting Star Wars and the discussions of what it means to be a celebrity in this modern Comic-Con culture. I was hesitant to read the diary parts because they felt very personal and private but the writing is fantastic and it highlights what it means to be in love without satisfaction. The ending with her thoughts about modern Comic-Con culture were spot-on. Not the best book but not the worst either.
