I loved the characters, Baba Yaga’s daughters & Koschei the Deathless’s sons, their differing gifts & the way they shifted & grew throughout the story. I was invested in the romance between Sasha & Lev from the very beginning, & even though it was a retelling of one of the most famous stories in the world, Olivie manages to keep us guessing throughout her beautiful prose.
