Dragons in a Bag is a cute, cosy kids' book with some nice concepts and promising worldbuilding. Unfortunately I just found it a little underwhelming. The book is only 150 pages and feels incomplete, with the plot only really just getting started as the book ends. Several of the characters felt underdeveloped, the different worlds and time periods are barely explored, and the dragons also needed more attention. I know there is a sequel, which may expand on all of these aspects, but perhaps it should all have been one book and then I might have rated it higher.
