The Traitor's Kiss
by Erin Beaty
*Note: this review is close to 5 months post-reading the book*
So I have the next book from the library until the 26th and I'm excited. I just finished Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J Maas on Wednesday (I am heartbroken about it ending) and I want to read this next.
When I listened to the audiobook, I enjoyed it. I forced myself to finish the last 10 minutes before I passed out because I was so tired. This book was really keeping me listening.
I really did enjoy it, and I heard everyone talking shit about it. Youtube videos, comments on posts, reviews, etc. I put off reading the book until the middle of June when I saw it was on my library app for ebooks and audiobooks. Once I picked it up, I remember being so invested that I listened to it when playing with my puppy. I was hooked from the beginning. I loved it.
It was an amazing book for me. I gave it 4/5 stars only because I felt like I didn't enjoy it like my favourite book series, but 5/5 stars are really reserved for books that blew my mind.
