Taming of a Rebel is a lovely book by Eada Friesian. Its unusual to read a romance book that includes the roles of parenting and single parenting that it was very refreshing, even more so from an LGBT+ perspective but Eada did a great job incorporating this into the story!

I particularly enjoyed the characters - Miranda and Tori are such opposites and I was impressed how Eada brought them together, largely through their children. And that brings me onto the children. They are wonderful characters and I’ve definitely met children that are scarily similar to both girls!

There were a few moments where I was confused about who was saying what (but this often happens for me in same-sex romance novels…!) and got confused about why a character acted in a certain way (often to find that I hadn’t realised which character it was) but overall the plot was interesting, once I was hooked (about 40% or so) I wanted to come back and keep reading and find out the ending.

Oh yes, the ending surprised me partly. Much of the ending didn’t, but there was one bit that did, but it would be a spoiler to tell you what!

This is an enjoyable read if you want a sapphic romance with some lovely characters, nicely written spicy scenes and an enjoyable dose of children thrown in the mix!
