So much better than the Mortal Instruments series. If you've been put off Cassandra Clare by the way that series was going - all angst and ugh - try this series instead. It's 4-5 stars with this last book just tipping enough towards 5 stars (for me) to get the extra one (it's actually 9 out of 10 - I do wish Goodreads did half stars!)
