Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns)
by Mindy Kaling
I liked this book, but I didn't love it. Honestly, I was somewhat let down. I follow Mindy Kaling on social media and her 142-characters-or-less posts make me laugh out loud regularly, but I got about halfway through this book before I literally laughed. There was nothing in particular I disliked, although I do somewhat wish it was a little more linear about her life rather than a smattering of random details about what makes a good best friend or what guys can do to be cool, etc. Those bits are somewhat funny musings, but the most interesting parts are definitely the parts about her life experience. I feel like I know her better, and that's why I am interested in reading books like this... Overall, it's interesting, but it's not particularly a must-read.
