Stories: All-New Tales by Neil Gaiman, Al Sarrantonio
3.0

The profoundly unsettling nature of this book makes it difficult for me to put down what I thought of it. There's no true theme to all the stories, except perhaps death, loss and darkness. There was a lot of darkness in this set of short stories; stories written to encapsulate narrative beyond plot.
This was not the sort of book one enjoys, yet I am glad I read it. Though I did not like all the stories in the simple sense of the word, I was drawn in by them nonetheless. Part human mystery, part psychological thriller, Stories is a collection worth reading but, above all, worth putting down afterwards in favor of something just a bit more cheerful.
