Tales of the Peculiar
by Ransom Riggs

Hello, Future wifey! Can we please read these stories to our kids?
This book brought peculiar world, that we know and love, to life. It's a compilation of fables and myths based around the peculiar world. If you love peculiar world then you are definitely going to enjoy these tales about the peculiars.
I like how this book gives us an impression that these stories have been passed down orally for years and have gone through so many alternation that it has become nearly impossible to judge which version of the story is real, like our own myths and folklores. Reading different versions of the same story adds to the reading the experience. It somehow makes the stories seem more real and believable.
There was not one story in this book that I didn't like. Every story in this is book was a masterpiece. Like most fairytales, these stories tried to teach a lesson but it was subtle. Some of the stories went to pretty dark places and i really i really enjoyed it.
My favorite story was about the girl who could tame the nightmares. It was extremely fascinating and original. I also liked the story about the first Ymbryne and the story about the cocobolo island. Last story was about the giant, Cuthbert, that had played an important role in the Hollow City. it's kind of a book that would like to read again and again.
Overall this was an amazing read. I love peculiardom, and I can't wait for Miss peregrine's trilogy part 2.
