This was a reread with my daughter for a school assignment. I love the story of happenstance. It's wonderful for kids to be able to put themselves into that world. However, I do not agree with or view the children as the ages they are meant to represent. It feels as if the author has never been around kids ages 9 or 12. But I still recommend this story for everyone to read at least once.
