The first 20% took a little while to get into and the world-building while very good took longer to understand due to the dual perspectives.  However I did enjoy both Livira and Evar worlds and even more so when they collided.
Once I got familiar with both worlds the pacing picked up, and the last 160 pages I flew through it was fast-paced and ended really interestingly.
