This is the last book in a series that is greatly important to me. My father read The Golden Compass to my brothers and I when we were young and I continued on with the series. I started the series again to read along with the HBO adaption (which I enjoyed). And the books are just perfect. Tense and exciting and wondrous and magical. Reading them is an adventure of a lifetime and The Amber Spyglass is the perfect conclusion to the series.
