Dangerous Creatures by Kami Garcia, Margaret Stohl
3.0

2.5

If anyone loved Ridley Duchannes in the Beautiful Creatures series, this book is for you. Dangerous Creatures brings the readers back to Ridley and Link, and their travels to New York after high school finishes up and Lena and Ethan go to college. Except Ridley might not be telling Link the whole truth about why she needed to go to New York, and how she came to know about Link's new band and the man controlling them.

This was a good, quick read and it comes with all the angst and love-hate relationship one would expect to get from a relationship between Ridley and Link. We get a look at other people from the supernatural world who have nothing to do with Gatlin, the Ravewoods or the Duchannes family (thank god). It was great to see other 'casters' such as a necromancer and an illusionist who are, as much as they can be, normal teenagers.

I did feel that there often seemed to be a chunk of plot missing. There is suppose to be a level of mystery and suspense between Nox and Ridely (I did enjoy the little reveal at the end) but I actully felt it was too much. There seemed, for me, to be a major jump between the middle of the book and the end of the book and I'm not not sure if the ending was rushed but it just fit together so well for me.
