I have had this series on my various school library shelves for nearly 10 years, and always recommended it to students based on other student reviews. I listened to this first (in a series of 15!) title and was transported to this magical world of owls and survival. In this time of upheaval politically, I found myself relating this tale of owlets kidnapped and "moonblinked" (brain washing and erasing all questions and thinking from their minds) to people who read fake news on FB and have voted in a person unfit for the office as a leader of the United States. I am not sure that I will continue the series, but I really enjoyed this first title.
