Whewwww, this book! It took me a little while to get into it but once I did, I devoured the rest in one day. Such a smart rendering of several fantasy genres -- I never would have imagined Arthurian legend could meld with a take on conjure magic, but it works. After reading dozens of so-so books this year, I also really appreciated the pacing and character development. Bonus points for the North Carolina college campus setting. A few tropes bugged me but this is a 4.5 rounded up for sure.
