Galatea by Madeline Miller
4.0

An intriguing short story that pulls you in from the first word. Madeline Miller has an amazing ability to carve out her own world within these stories that have been told for millenia and make them her own. Galatea's world reclaims feminine power from her creators, both Pygmalion and Ovid, in such a startling way that any reader is sure to never see Pygmalion's statue granted life as a 'happy ending' ever again. As always, left wanting to dive into the worlds Miller creates beyond the words on the pages.
